All the artworks on the webpage are gelatin silver photographs made by the artist from original analogue negatives. They have been treated with reducer, toned with either selenium or sulfid toner to guarantee the maximum preservation and spotted by hand individually with a small brush.

Artworks are not numbered according to the gelatin silver print tradition as they are each unique in their tones and they have slight variations due to their individual qualities.

portfolios

Portfolios Ilmanranta – Éire and Vedenraja – Mare consist both of ten pigment ink prints on archival quality paper and one original gelatin silver print made by the artist. The edition of the both portfolios is 50 numbered copies plus 5 artist copies. Portfolios have been published by the series OPUS founded by Pentti Sammallahti and are consequently the OPUS numbers 48 and 52.

book

Ilmanranta, Vedenraja – Finis Terræ is published in 2007 through Musta Taide, reknown Finnish photography book publishing house. The edition of the book is 1500 copies. It has been printed with four colors (three different blacks and one toning color). The printing process was supervised by the artist beside the printing press. The book can be ordered either with artist’s signature or without it.

posters and cards

Posters and cards are ink jet printed on ecological archival quality Hahnemühle paper. Postcard sets as well as the individual cards include envelopes.
